JULY BIRCHBOX

I felt like July was a bit slim pickings in my Birchbox. I have been using the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream and like it, but it's only been about a week so there is no noticeable difference in my dark circles going away just yet. The LAQA & Co. Sheer Lip Lube Pencil is not really my thing. I guess I'm just not that in to purple lip balm even if it's supposed to be just a semi-sheer lip color-still too purple for me. I really like the Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel and think I will purchase the full size. It's a great peel and found it very easy to use. I also liked the Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream. I wasn't too keep on the Gingerade Shower Gel, it didn't seem to lather and I didn't love the smell.

HOMEMADE CHERRY CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM

For mother's day I got an ice cream maker. I was so excited because I love ice cream and now I can make it all the time! I have made a few different kinds, but recently I made this chocolate cherry one per my husband's request. First I made the chocolate ice cream using this recipe (minus the peanut butter-but I did make the chocolate peanut butter recipe once and it was so good!) About five minutes before you take the ice cream out of the ice cream maker, add in the drained, chopped, sweet dark cherries (mine were in a can that you can find near the canned fruit section at the store). Make sure the cherries are completely mixed in. Then serve or freeze like normal. I served with leftover cherries and melted milk chocolate drizzled on top. Yummy yummy!

BEACH TOTE UPCYCLE

{Tonight is your last chance to enter to win a pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins and A Baby Stats Subway art! Go here to enter!}
I found this little beach tote in the dollar section at Target-I'm such a sucker for those two little aisles and always come away with at least five things from there!
Anyway, I decided to give it a little shimmer. All I did was use some painters tape and taped off a section. Then spray painted it with some gold spray paint. I think it also would have looked good with white paint. It's the perfect size for heading to the beach or the pool!
