I am always on the lookout for a good chocolate chip cookie recipe. I love the big cookies that are sold in stores and as much as I wish I could eat Tom's Mom's Cookies everyday... I live a bit too far away, so I am left just trying to recreate their delicious cookies. One thing I notice is that they always have giant chunks of chocolate in their cookies... maybe that's why I like them so much... So I found this recipe and I think I'm in love.
{I picked up some gift boxes on clearance at Michael's and they were perfect for giving some cookies away}
Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Recipe inspiration: All Recipes
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking
soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate bar cut in to chunks
2 cups semisweet chocolate bar cut in to chunks

YuM! The gift boxes are adorable, but unnecessary however, because I don't think I would be able to give them away with two teenage boys in the house. :)
